Our Journey
The North Clondalkin Community Choir is a voluntary intergenerational choir consisting of children & adults from Clondalkin and the surrounding areas. Set up in September 2023 our choir has grown from 40 to 63 members. Connected by a shared passion for music, all members are directed to sing in harmony to live music and are instructed in art of reading sheet music.

Our choir also functions as a non-mainstream music education hub whereby our junior members are afforded weekly instrumental tuition.
Led by a committed group of volunteers who form our committee, our group flourishes thanks to the tireless spirit of volunteers who steer our vision forward. These dedicated individuals share unique skills to maintain the choir and to continue to aspire towards excellence. As a non-profit entity, our focus remains on delivering high-quality musical training for all instead of profit or financial gain. We work to eliminate the economic hurdles typically tied to the arts, making it possible for every neighbour to find their unique sound. By nurturing a positive teaching environment, we welcome you to join us on our musical journey. Together, we ensure music remains an inclusive and empowering hobby for everyone.
Aims & Objectives
The main aim of our choir is to afford equal access to professional Music Education in the form of Choral Direction, vocal training in harmony, while making every effort to remove the financial barriers associated with a choir that depends on professional accompanists for supports. This is achieved through the sponsorship of SDCC and local businesses. We offer instrumental teaching to our junior members. All members are offered unique travel and performance opportunities at local, national and international level.
